With operations spanning more than 20 countries worldwide, they combine the innovation and resources of a global enterprise with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of local teams.The OpportunityThey are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant/Bookkeeper to join their Italian commercial branch based in Assago, Milan. It is a permanent part-time position (20 hours per week), ideally distributed horizontally (4 hours per day), with a hybrid working arrangement.To clarify this further, the job is offered by one of our customers, a company based in Assago, we are helping them in the selection process and will be involved in it.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Accounting/Bookkeeping: Recording and updating accounting transactions, managing invoices through SDI (Sistema di Interscambio)Bank Management: Handling the bank account, reviewing cash flow and operationsAnalytical Accounting: Allocating costs and revenues to cost centers according to Group policiesBusiness Expense Control: Verifying and monitoring business expenses according to budgets and Group guidelinesInvoice and Payment Processing: Managing invoices, supplier payments, and client payment trackingTax Payments: Processing various company and local taxes, including preparation of F24 forms in coordination with our service company (chartered accountants)Pre-Tax Balance Sheet: Preparing preliminary financial statements for submission to our service company (chartered accountants)VAT Management: Handling monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT settlements in coordination with the chartered accountantsAudit Support: Collaborating with auditors for financial statement verificationTax Repository Management: Maintaining the "cassetto fiscale," handling electronic invoicing, and resolving pending issuesReporting: Preparing periodic accounting reports for local management and Group requirementsHR-Related Accounting: Coordinating with third-party payroll providers on employee accounting mattersNOT Included in This RoleFinal preparation of annual balance sheets and financial statements (pre-tax preparation only)Tax returns and complex fiscal compliance filingsDirect payroll processing and preparation of payslipsThese tasks are handled through our services and by other third-party service providers.Required QualificationsMinimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in medium-sized companiesComprehensive knowledge of Italian accounting principles and regulationsStrong English language proficiency (both written and verbal) this is an essential element of the qualifications, and its non-negotiableExperience with accounting software and ERP systems (experience with SAP its a plus)Excellent attention to detail and analytical skillsAbility to work independently with the supervision and under the coordination of one of our senior chartered accountants while having ongoing daily relationships with the Groups international accountancy teams, and the management of the local branch.EducationPreferred: University degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related fieldIdeal ProfileOur customer is looking for candidates who have been exposed to a wide variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks. They would prefer someone with hands-on experience to someone who has managed teams.
