Purpose of the job:

The depositary business of CSC in the Netherlands is provided by two legal entities, being CSC Depositary B.V. (hereinafter CSCD) and Intertrust Depositary Services B.V. (hereinafter IDS), based in Maarsbergen (CSCD) and Amsterdam (IDS). Both entities have their own license to operate as an AIFMD Depositary to alternative investment funds based in the Netherlands.

CSCD needs to comply with the Alternative Investment Fund Manager Directive (hereinafter AIFMD). Our main responsibility as an alternative depositary is to monitor the investment funds cashflow in line with financial regulations in order to safeguard the interests of the investors of the fund. Besides monitoring the funds cashflow we verify the investments of the fund against fund documentation and perform oversight tasks to oversee the risks of the fund.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Client work

• Completion and review of depositary activities for your own funds including cashflow monitoring, asset safekeeping and oversight tasks according to the A to Z model
• You manage the work programs for your funds in such way that you meet the internal and external client deadlines
• Liaising with the client service directors and team leads to build strong relationships with clients
• You keep up to date with relevant AIFMD, Wft or other relevant legislations and you have these legislations in mind when processing your tasks
• Participate actively in client meetings
• Assist with the onboarding of new clients, both from a fund launch and fund migration perspective
• Ensure the timely provision of reporting to the clients and regulators
• Preparing relevant documentation for notification of new funds to regulator

Internal work/projects

• Support local and regional management
• Preparation of local regulatory reporting
• Participate in CSCD, group or other internal projects when this is requested
• Follow all relevant internal trainings in time

What we expect from you?

• At least 3/5 years of relevant experience
• Client focused attitude; will keep the interests of the client in mind and pro-actively contact client when needed
• Fluent in English and strong level in Dutch
• A self-starter who is able to work independently and in a team
• You take ownership of issues and problems and do not redirect the challenges
• You are willing to learn and further develop yourselves
• Be focused on solutions propose solutions to issues rather than just escalating issues
