Director of Human Resources (f/m) - Leading Investment Firm On behalf of our client - a globally active investment firm with offices in the United States and Europe and several billion USD in assets under management - we are currently searching for a Director of Human Resources to join their Vienna office. The firm operates at the intersection of high finance and technology, with an English-speaking culture and a strong performance-driven environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced, tech-savvy HR leader who thrives in fast-paced, international settings. Your Responsibilities * Act as a strategic and operational HR partner to senior leadership across Vienna and New York * Take full ownership of the end-to-end recruiting process - from outreach to onboarding and retention * Build and manage a talent database and maintain long-term engagement with high-potential candidates * Create an exceptional candidate experience, ensuring consistent communication and engagement * Work closely with universities and networks (CEMS, WU, St. Gallen, HEC, Bocconi, etc.) to attract top talent * Manage local HR operations in Vienna, including one admin team member * Ensure compliance with Austrian and US labor law * Lead HR initiatives for approx. 60 employees globally, including performance and compensation topics * Leverage modern HR tools (e.g. Greenhouse, HRIS) and drive the digitalization of HR processes * Collaborate on creative recruiting strategies (e.g. job ads with entry challenges or gamified elements) Your Profile * 5+ years of experience in HR leadership roles, ideally in international or fast-growing organizations * Strong knowledge of Austrian labor law; experience with US employment frameworks is a plus * Proven experience in recruiting, people development, compensation, and cultural initiatives * Tech-savvy mindset and ability to interact with highly analytical, tech-minded teams * Natural curiosity and eagerness to experiment with new technologies and tools * Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and discretion * "Hunter mentality" - hands-on, pragmatic, and driven by results * Structured, reliable and proactive personality who thrives on ownership and autonomy * Full professional fluency in German and English What''s Offered * A key leadership role in a high-performing, globally connected investment firm * Full ownership and creative freedom to build scalable HR processes * English-speaking culture with fast decision-making and strong tech orientation * Elegant historic office with state-of-the-art technology and modern equipment in the heart of 1010 Vienna * Competitive salary package in line with your experience and responsibilities We look forward to your application!
