What will you do?
As E-commerce Lead, you are responsible for optimising and expanding our two storefronts: one for B2B and one for B2C (Benelux + France/Germany). You connect strategy with execution and ensure all online touchpoints align seamlessly with our brand experience and commercial objectives. You will report directly to the Commercial/Sales Director and, together with the Online Product Owner, form the e-commerce team. The Product Owner will report to you.
This is not just an executional role you will take full ownership of our e-commerce landscape, with a clear focus on revenue growth within the B2C online segment. Youll critically evaluate our current digital environment and identify where optimisation or restructuring is needed. As a driving force behind digital transformation, you proactively advise the management team on future-proof strategies including potential changes in partners, platforms or approaches always with commercial growth in mind.
Your key responsibilities:
- Maximise commercial performance across both storefronts, with a strong focus on growing the online B2C share.
- Translate campaign plans from the commercial calendar into digital activations, both on our websites and across paid media channels (Meta and Google Ads).
- Set up online campaigns in collaboration with external agencies, analyse results using tools such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and make proactive adjustments.
- Work hands-on on SEO and CRO improvements, engaging external expertise when needed ideally within Salesforce Commerce Cloud tools.
- Map visitor behaviour and campaign performance using tools like Hotjar, Trello, and Jira.
- Apply your strong UX knowledge to continuously improve the customer journey from a user-first perspective.
- Provide the marketing team with clear and timely content briefings including specifications and guidelines and manage external agencies in further developing the digital ecosystem.
- Work in a structured way and feel at home in an agile work environment.
- Lead and coach the Online Product Owner, who supports online merchandising, webshop optimisation, and B2C customer service.
What do you bring?
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce, preferably in an international context.
- Proven experience managing multiple webshops or storefronts.
- Experience in both B2B and D2C marketing and customer journey development.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with paid media campaigns (Google & Meta), SEO, CRO, and Google Analytics 4.
- A strong understanding of UX and digital user experiences.
- Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, or other e-commerce platforms.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with the seniority to guide digital decision-making and advise the management team.
- Ability to switch effortlessly between strategic planning and operational execution.
- Experience in coaching colleagues and collaborating with digital professionals.
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
