Consultant - Sustainability strategy and disclosure

We are looking for a dedicated Consultant to strengthen our advisory services in the European market, focusing on German-speaking countries and the Middle East. As a Consultant, you will support our corporate clients in enhancing their sustainability performance across the value chain. Working within our cross-national team (Germany, Switzerland, UK), you will engage in various consulting projects, from drafting to implementation and presentation of results.
This position is ideal for a self-motivated and creative individual with the ambition to develop into a subject matter expert and senior consultant.
At LRQA, you will provide targeted advice to our clients and work with them daily. You will be part of the LRQA global Advisory team, reporting to LRQA Advisory Europe and Middle East.

Responsibilities
- Support senior staff and take responsibility for key milestones in ESG strategy and supply chain consulting engagements.
- Leverage expertise in environmental or human rights risk and impact analyses, supplier assessments, or sustainability strategy optimization.
- Assist in materiality assessments, workshops, and the development of strategies and guidelines.
- Support reporting projects aligned with standards like CSRD/EFRS, GRI, SASB, TCFD, SBTI, CDP, ESG ratings, EU Taxonomy, Human Rights, or supply chain disclosures.
- Contribute to business development by supporting proposal and acquisition processes, delivering presentations, and conducting trainings.
- Assist in product and service development by standardizing and enhancing LRQA''s sustainability and supply chain offerings to improve efficiency and impact.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Entrepreneurial consultant with 2-3 years of experience in sustainability communications, strategy, corporate development, reporting, ESG-focused investor relations, or similar.
- Knowledge of ratings, standards, and regulatory frameworks such as HREDD legislation, ESG ratings, EU taxonomy, TCFD, SBTi, CDP, GRI, SASB, CSRD/ESRS is a plus.
- Efficient project and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience leading workshops.
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to mutual success.
- Quick perception and an independent working style.
- Enjoy virtual work environments1:1, team-based, across time zoneswith strong self-management skills.
- Ability to handle deadlines positively and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong information processing skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and systems thinking.
- Professional communication skills in German and English; proficiency in French, Arabic, or other EMEA languages is a plus.
