The role:
The Principal Interaction Designer is a key member of the Verisure Global Design Team, and will work closely with the Global UI Design Manager, The Design Leadership Team as well as our high performing Global Design Team. The role will be based in our RD centre in Madrid Spain, with some European travel required. The position of Principal Interaction Designer is fundamental to delivering world class interaction design across the Verisure product portfolio. You will partner closely with Senior management, proposition managers, product owners, usability and research experts as well as our engineering teams to enhance the overall quality of our output, value we deliver and the user experience of our products and services.The Principal Interaction Designer will perform a crucial role in evolving our ways of working, quality, creation, development, refinement, and documentation of innovative interaction design solutions that are in line with the design objectives and goals of Verisure. The position will focus on both strategic workstreams in addition to delivering prioritized tactical projects and programs.

The Principal Interaction Designer will be:
A Problem Seeker; a person with an analytical brain, who uses a range of tools and methods to find the root cause of customer problem(s).
A Problem Solver; a person who will leave no stone unturned in their quest to solve customer problems and iteratively validate design concepts.
A Change Maker; a person with the ability to synthesize design process and research and use it to their advantage when managing business objectives and stakeholders, ensuring that design direction is carried through into the final product offering.
A Design Champion; a person who stands up for customers and makes sure that their voice is heard and understood throughout the process.
A Leader; A person that lead and act as a mentor, a high-performing goal setter that actively establish best practices and ways of working.

Main Responsibilities
Main responsibilities will include supporting the business in all aspects of Interaction Design. Key tasks include but are not limited to:
Transform business requirements and opportunities, design ideas, research findings and visions into tangible digital experiences and services that provide clear, usable, and desirable outcomes with a user focus.
Take a lead to evolve best practices and design thinking across the greater organization.
Take a leading role in setting and achieving the UX strategy within the Verisure organization.
Lead and take an active role in planning together with our Operations Leads; UX design projects through all design phases; from research, early concepting, design, delivery and evaluation in a fast-moving environment.
Identify and drive continuous improvements of existing products and services to enhance the overall user experience. Identify and use metrics to guide and structure this process.
Manage and build relationships with global business partners.
Work with process partners to brainstorm, workshop, break down requirements for user experiences across all our digital touchpoints: wearables, mobile, tablet and desktop.
Extensive experience providing digital experience in mobile environment.
Continuously evaluate overall effectiveness and viability of design output and the quality of deliverables.
Together with the design leadership take lead on change management initiatives.
Engage and take an active part in hiring activities and decisions for the global design organization.
Advocate new tools, methodologies and better practices to drive learning and development of the User Interaction function.
Act as a mentor and guiding star by developing staff capabilities through individual and team dynamics coaching while making sure our team members are empowered and autonomous.
Actively strive to solve, mediate and unblock issues between our team, departments and other stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications
University degree in Design or a Design Related subject, preferably BA or BSc degree
8+ years of experience working as a designer within a Corporate Design Group or reputable Design Consultancy acting as a lead or principal.
Extensive experience providing digital experience in mobile environment.
Track record of working in close collaboration with key project teams members, including user experience researchers, proposition managers, products owners, tech leads, developers, strategist, service designers, visual design preferably in a multi-site environment.
Coordinate, own and lead design projects from an interaction design perspective.
Be a passionate advocate of user cantered design methodologies, ground ideas in data driven solutions by partnering with our research team, and by doing so incorporate customer insights as a natural part of the creative process and solution.
