We are looking for an Analytical DevelopmentOfficer to join our R&D Centre of Excellence in Monza. The roleis an individual contributor. He / She performs and certificateslaboratory tests in collaboration with the Head of Department forproducts of the para pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical area withinthe approved research programs. He / She validates analyticalmethods for the characterization and monitoring of products inR&D, plans and registers the assigned analytical activitiesmonitoring the correct laboratory operation (materials, service andequipment). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Perform stability study onmedical devices, food supplements and cosmetics. - Developanalytical methods to analyze raw materials and R&D products. -Perform method validation and promote improvements on analyticalmethods. - Collaborate with quality assurance on the writing ofoperational instructions regarding the analytical laboratory. -Support R&D formulation department to develop new products. -Manage orders for materials and services. Maintain and ensureproper functioning of laboratories equipment. - Collaborate withexternal laboratories and review analysis performed by thirdparties and support analytical team to manage the relativeanalytical projects and data evaluation. - Support analytical teamto conduct analytical projects, within the approved researchprograms, to characterize and investigate raw materials andproducts. - Support R&D, Marketing and regulatory teams byproviding analytical data to substantiate claims. - Collaboratewith other departments to facilitate lifecycle managementactivities. - Register the assigned tests, according to the GPPSdepartment requests and given priority. QUALIFICATIONS Mastersdegree in chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology or equivalent.EXPERIENCE - 3 years of experience in an analytical laboratory,preferably in method development or research related to foodsupplements, cosmetics, medical devices, or, ideally, drugproducts. Relevant experience from other equivalent analyticalfields is also acceptable. - He / She must have knowledge of thefollowing techniques: GC-FID, HPLC-DAD, UV and FT-IR; HPLC-MS,GC-MS knowledge would be nice to have. - Requires on-the-job orprevious training and experience. - May require formal occupationaltraining or certification. - Problems faced may require somefact-finding to define the problem. - Solution is chosen from a setof defined procedures or based on precedence. - Conveys orexchanges professional or technical information in routine ways toaudiences typically knowledgeable about the subject matter, butoccasionally to diverse audiences that may be knowledgeable aboutsubject matter. - Supports the achievement of goals throughpersonal effort in own work area or work team. - Impact of work canvary from immediate to short-term (one year or less.) - Accountablefor completing own work to meet a daily schedule. - Tasks areusually assigned by others. ENGLISH PROFICIENCY The level ofEnglish proficiency required for this role is intermediate.
