With more than 18,000 employees in more than 55 countries, we combine our global reach with a local presence.**Position Description**The Inventory Control Clerk ensures that production materials, including raw material and finished goods, are available to meet production schedules at Flowserves Quick Response Center in Rancho Dominguez, CA. The Center repairs and machines components for mechanical seals used in industrial settings, such as oil refineries and pharmaceutical plants. Were looking for a an experienced Inventory Control Clerk who enjoys a fast-paced production environment, who can account for parts and materials in the shop, and who takes a personal ownership of the local and consigned inventory.Procure finished goods and raw materials, such as steel, o-rings, and carbon facings, to meet production schedules- Resolve problems with the right level of initiative, collaboration, and perseverance to satisfy requests while following procedures. Help find alternative options for supplying unavailable products and services- Provide frontline response to application engineers located at our customers sites, for emergency and standard procurement of parts- Conduct daily cycle counts, and investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies to ensure ongoing inventory accuracy- Communicate status and issues with the operations, shipping/receiving, engineering, and customer support to support production schedules and customer commitments- Responsible for scheduling work on the shop floor to maintain balance between supply and demand in support of monthly forecast of manufacturing hours- Monitor daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on material availability to ensure system accuracy and integrity- Responsible for making sourcing decisions on a daily basis to ensure compliance to organizational financial objectives while meeting customer delivery expectations.- Responsible for communicating order status changes/acknowledgments for all Flowserve related orders**Position Requirements**High School diploma or equivalent.- 3+ years relevant experience, such as materials or inventory management- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, AS-400/MRP experience highly desired- Detail-oriented with a demonstrated track record of accuracy in pulling data, entering data, and creating reports- Demonstrated success in positions requiring personal ownership to complete tasks, investigate problems, and resolve issues with mnimal supervision- Good organizational skills, able to establish and change priorities based on demands.- Communicates clearly for accuracy and understanding, and professionally so as to have a positive impact on the team**Preferences**see above**Job Posting Category** Logistics**Employment Type** Full time**Percentage of Approximate Travel Required** 0%**Remote Worker****Other Posting Location****Relocation Eligible** Yes**Country** United States of America**Req ID** 36662BR
