The role of the function is to support the conducting officer in charge of the Compliance function to ensure that the AIFM second line of defence is effective, documented and meets the legal and regulatory provisions applicable to investment funds (AIFs) and the AIFM in Luxembourg, with a strong focus on private equity and real estate asset classes (fund sector, co-investment and direct opportunities).

Your role

  • Support the Money Laundering Reporting Officer and responsable du contrle du respect des obligations (RC) of the Alternative Investment Funds under governance.
  • Support the oversight and monitoring of delegated functions (distribution network included).
  • Supervise AML obligations on private assets (PE, RE and Debt Fund) of the AIFM and AIFs.
  • Manage compliance risks (identification, assessment, control and report) at the asset and AIFs and entity levels, with a thorough understanding and expertise of the asset classes and structures involved.
  • Contribute to the reporting of the RC monitoring function to the AIFM board of directors, recommending action plans where necessary.
  • Prepare RC regulatory reports for the AIFs under your responsibility to the Boards of the AIFs as well as to the regulators.
  • Work in conjunction with the portfolio management and legal teams of the AIFM for the onboarding of new funds and co-investments.

Your profile

Qualifications and experience:

  • University degree in Law, Finance or Economics.
  • 2 to 4 years experience in a similar position or in another position dealing with the same domains of activity.

Specific knowledge:

  • Good knowledge of European regulatory framework related to AML/CFT.
  • Industry knowledge in private assets required.
  • Working knowledge of FATCA-CRS or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (PowerPoint. Excel and Word).

Language skills:

  • Fluency in both English and French.

Personal qualities:

  • Good analytical and communication skills (oral and written).
