Watlow is seeking an AP Accountant to join our team and support our Italian operations. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and reviewing supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies, and performing 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and goods receipts. You will manage vendor payments, handle queries, and maintain effective communication with suppliers. Additionally, you will support month-end close activities, including AP subledger closing and reconciliations, and assist in the preparation of AP-related reports.
Duties:
- Processing and reviewing supplier invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Performing 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and goods receipt notes
- Timely and accurate execution of payments to vendors
- Handling vendor queries and maintaining effective communication with suppliers
- Supporting month-end close activities, including AP subledger closing and reconciliations
- Ensuring proper documentation and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
- Assisting with preparation of AP-related reports and analysis
- Performing intercompany AP transactions and reconciliations
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in Accounts Payable or similar finance role
- Primary degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience
- Strong proficiency in Italian and English
- Understanding of Accounts Payable processes and financial accounting principles
- Experience working with Oracle Fusion or Oracle EBS is a strong asset
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Highly organized and self-motivated, able to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
