Infrastructure, Datacenter & Security Operations (IDSO)Team Lead
Based in our Hamm Office
TheInfrastructure, Datacenter & Security Operations (IDSO)Team Leadis responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organizations infrastructure. This role involves managing a team of IT engineers, ensuring infrastructure high availability, security, and performance. The IDSO Team Lead will lead efforts in troubleshooting complex IT issues, implementing new technologies, and ensuring that the infrastructure meets the businesss operational needs. This position also ensures compliance with best practices and industry standards while mentoring and developing the IT engineering team.
Your role:
- Team Leadership and Management: Supervise a team of IT engineers, providing support in technical and career development.
- Set team goals, performance expectations, and conduct performance reviews to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Allocate resources effectively across IT projects and initiatives to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous learning within the team.
- Network Management:Oversee the management and maintenance of internet access, remote access solutions, and the organizations network infrastructure. Ensure secure and reliable connectivity for all users, troubleshoot complex network issues, and implement new technologies to enhance network capabilities.
- Security Operations: Implement and manage security measures to protect the organizations systems and data. Safeguard against phishing, spam, malware, and other threats. Monitor for security incidents and respond promptly and effectively.
- Disaster Recovery (DR) Management:Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure the organizations ability to recover from disruptions. Conduct regular DR tests and update plans as needed.
- Backup Services:Oversee the implementation and management of backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability. Conduct regular backup tests and ensure compliance with data retention policies.
- On Premise Hosting Management: Manage and monitor the organizations hypervisor and storage infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Produce regular reports on performance, incidents, and system improvements for senior management.
- Develop and update network management procedures to ensure consistency and best practices.
- Budget and Resource Management: Assist in the planning and management of the network infrastructure budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively for network projects and ongoing operations.
- Monitor network-related expenses to ensure cost efficiency and recommend cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
- Training and Development: Organize and lead technical workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and certification programs to build the teams skill set.
Your role:
- You have 5+ year of experience in IT with a successful practice as Network and/or Infrastructure Operations Engineer;
- Technical skills: ITIL knowledge is considered an asset;
- Certification such as CCNA, CCNP or VMware can be an asset;
- Behavioral skills: Collaborative spirit and ability to unite teams around continuous improvement initiatives;
