Job Description
We are looking for an Appian Developer to join our team of around 1,700 people worldwide to help us enhance the travelers journey for millions of holidaymakers. If you are skilled in developing Appian applications, keep reading, as you might be the perfect fit for this role.
The job in brief:
- Job Title: Appian Developer
- Working model: hybrid (75% in office - 25% at home)
- Team: Application Engineering - People & Process Automation within the Technology department
- Level: Professional (working in teams or individually on projects, focusing on technical/discipline knowledge)
- Contract: Permanent, full-time (EUR 36 h/week)
Your responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and customize scalable Appian applications to optimize business processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Configure user interfaces, process models, reports, and rules within the Appian platform.
- Integrate Appian applications with external systems and databases using APIs and web services.
- Test, deploy, and maintain applications, ensuring performance, security, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot issues, implement bug fixes, and provide ongoing support and enhancements.
- Stay updated on Appian advancements, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, process flows, and user guides.
Qualifications
Required expertise:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-6 years of experience in Appian development, including design, configuration, and implementation of applications.
- Strong knowledge of Appian platform features such as process modeling, record types, user interfaces, expressions, and SAIL.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and data modeling.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is required.
- Appian Certifications (Associate, Senior, Lead Developer) are highly preferred.
- Experience with Appian RPA and AI features.
- Experience integrating Appian solutions with external systems via REST, SOAP, or other web services.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
