Chief Legal & Governance Officer (CLGO) The International Space Federation (ISF) is looking for a highly skilled and versatile Chief Legal & Governance Officer (CLGO)to take charge of our legal and contractual matters, our intellectual property, and operations on governance and compliance. This role combines a wide range of interdisciplinary legal and transactional matters in an international context with the oversight responsibility of a Secretary General on Group-Level. The ideal candidate is an expert in corporate law with strong governance acumen, experienced in international legal context, IP strategy, transaction execution, regulatory matters, compliance and corporate administration. This is a senior-level leadership role that requires broad legal track-record coupled with strong risk-awareness, flexibility, self-starting approach and genuine drive to customize solutions. The International Space Federation (ISF) is a research and development organization dedicated to scientific discovery, breakthrough advancements in technology, and education. ISF''s innovative approach is positioned to catalyze advancements in energy production and transportation, addressing the ecological challenges of our time with truly sustainable solutions. Advise the executive team and board on legal and regulatory matters, with a focus on international law, technology law, energy regulation, and corporate governance. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, NDAs, MOUs, partnership agreements, intercompany agreements, and other legal instruments. Lead risk management initiatives and oversee the development of legal policies and procedures. Intellectual Property (IP) Management Facilitate communication between the board, executive leadership, and investors. Support the international expansion by guiding entity formations, assuring regulatory compliance on funding facilities, and local governance structures. Represent the company in legal negotiations, stakeholder discussions, and public communications when needed. Proven experience in corporate governance, intellectual property, and international legal matters. Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus, especially French. Background in working with research institutions, scientific advisory boards, or international consortia. Competitive compensation package.
