The ideal candidate will manage general accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and tax records, including preparing financial reports, performing reconciliations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. This role is pivotal in supporting the companys strategic decision-making through accurate financial reporting and internal control processes. Also, responsible for management and relation with banks and credit card entities.It is a hands-on role, expecting to work independently under the MHAG Controller supervision.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and organize all financial operations for the Spanish legal entity, including bank, accounting, reporting, and compliance.Process journal entries and ensure proper documentation.Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.Prepare and ensure full compliance with Spanish tax laws, including IVA (VAT), corporate tax (Impuesto de Sociedades), IRPF, and withholding taxes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.Prepare and submit statutory financial statements and regulatory filings in accordance with Spanish GAAP and local authority deadlines (e.G., AEAT, Registro Mercantil).Coordinate and liaise with external tax advisors, auditors, and public authorities as needed.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.Monitor and analyze financial data to identify errors or discrepancies.Maintain and improve internal controls and financial procedures.Provide guidance on accounting policies and procedures.Requirements:Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field.Professional qualification (e.G., CPA, ACCA, or similar) is a plus.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in multinational or group structures.Deep understanding of Spanish accounting standards, tax compliance, and local statutory requirements.Strong experience with Spanish tax filings (IVA, IRPF, Impuesto de Sociedades, etc.).Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.G., D365 Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, or similar).Strong communication skills in Spanish and English.Experience working with external advisors and auditors.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of EU intra-group transactions and transfer pricing rules.Experience in start-up or scale-up environments with rapid change.Familiarity with labor cost reporting and Spanish payroll compliance.What We OfferFlexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.25 days of annual leave.Paid sick leave from day one.Company pension scheme with contributions.Employee Assistance Program.Company bonus scheme for successful project delivery.Life insurance coverage.
