We are actively seeking a Lead Software Engineer, based in CH, UK.

This hands-on technical role will involve working with different domain experts both internally and in customers engineering teams. You will be both talking about overall product at a high level and drilling down into detail and addressing low-level problems. You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving High Performance Computing (HPC) environment, and be excited about creating new products with multiple market opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development of Host support software for Kandous new silicon products
  2. Specify, design and implement Linux Kernel Drivers and support SDKs
  3. Define and implement Infrastructure for Host driver development to include simulation, modelling, and test of new SoC design
  4. Work with domain experts in IC design to integrate with Silicon development
  5. Ensure code quality via implementation and running of software test suites
  6. Ensure cohesive development between multiple engineers working on a project
  7. Plan and report to management on design approaches, progress, & risks

Essential Experience:

  1. 5+ years experience in Linux Kernel and Userspace driver design & Implementation
  2. Direct development experience with Linux persistent memory (pmem)
  3. NVME memory and cache management experience
  4. Optimising NUMA architectures via development or enhancement of numacli tool
  5. DAX and caching services in a hypervisor environment
  6. Memory Allocation and interleaving design
  7. Linux memory control error reporting via MCE and EDAC
  8. Knowledge of communication protocols including TLS, TCP-IP, Ethernet
  9. Security protocols such as SPDM
  10. Debugging at application, driver and hardware levels
  11. Use of modern SW development and test workflows (CI/gitlab/makefile/CMake/TDD etc.)
  12. Good documentation, presentation and mentoring skills
  13. Strong motivation for learning new skills and knowledge areas
