POSITIONSUMMARY Aviwell is seeking a strategic and technically adeptDirector of Innovation to coordinate and animate the developmentand innovation of our Aneto Discovery Platform. This role is notfocused on direct team management, but rather on facilitatingcollaboration across multidisciplinary teams to advance in-silicomodeling, bioinformatics, AI/ML applications, and data-drivenproduct discovery. The ideal candidate will have expertise incomputational biology, bioinformatics, AI/ML, and microbiomeresearch, with the ability to synchronize efforts across internaland external stakeholders to drive innovation andcommercialization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Coordination:Provide technical leadership in advancing Aviwells Anetoplatform, ensuring alignment between scientific research,computational modeling, and market needs. Technology Development:Oversee the development and implementation of in-silico models tosimulate and predict physiological responses to microbialinterventions. AI/ML & Bioinformatics Integration: Ensure theeffective use of AI/ML and bioinformatics to enhance predictiveaccuracy and shorten product development cycles. Cross-functionalCollaboration: Work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO)and Program Management to integrate computational and experimentalresearch efforts. Facilitation of Multidisciplinary Teams:Animate and coordinate cross-functional teams, includingscientists, data analysts, and bioinformaticians, to ensureefficient workflow and knowledge exchange. External Partnerships:Develop and maintain collaborations with industrial and academicpartners to accelerate innovation and optimize developmentpathways. Business & Regulatory Strategy: Support Aviwellsstrategic planning and commercialization efforts, includingregulatory considerations for feed additives and animal healthproducts. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS PhD or equivalent experience inComputational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Microbiology,Data Analysis, or a related field. 10+ years of experience inbiotechnology, with expertise in in-silico methods, AI/MLapplications, and bioinformatics. Proven experience incoordinating R&D projects and facilitating collaboration acrossdiverse teams. Strong strategic thinking and ability to bridgecomputational science with business applications. Excellentcommunication and facilitation skills to engage multidisciplinaryteams. Fluency in English (French is a plus). PREFERRED SKILLS Experience with computational simulations, bioinformatics tools,and AI-driven modeling. Familiarity with feed additives, animalhealth, or microbiome research is an advantage. Knowledge ofregulatory frameworks for feed additives and animal health products(EU, USA) is a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startupenvironment.
