Anson McCade is a leading recruitment and transformation consultancy, partnering with a major European client driving large-scale digital transformation across industries. With innovation at the heart of their cloud strategy, they are seeking Azure Cloud Architects at multiple levels (Mid to Senior) to join their expanding cloud and infrastructure practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape cloud strategies, design enterprise-ready Azure solutions, and work on cutting-edge initiatives across hybrid, multi-cloud, and cloud-native environments.
As an Azure Cloud Architect, you will:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure.
- Lead cloud adoption and migration projects, defining target operating models and cloud strategy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across infrastructure, DevOps, security, and applications to deliver high-value solutions.
- Support application modernisation and cloud-native development using PaaS services and containers.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Establish and enforce best practices for cloud governance, security, and compliance.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and thought leadership across cloud initiatives.
A successful Azure Cloud Architect will have:
- 510+ years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure, or enterprise IT environments.
- Proven expertise in designing Azure solutions across compute, networking, storage, identity, and security.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services (App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Functions, Key Vault, etc.)
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM), automation (PowerShell, Bash), and DevOps workflows.
- Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud environments (Azure Arc, ExpressRoute, etc.).
- Solid understanding of cloud governance frameworks, FinOps, and security best practices.
- Azure certifications (e.g. AZ-305, AZ-104, AZ-400) are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Consulting or client-facing experience is a strong advantage.
