Job Title:Lead Site Reliability Engineer Location: Hague / Utrecht, NL Duration: 2 years Core of the assignment The Lead Site Reliability Engineer (Lead SRE) is the driving force behind creating a robust and efficient operational mission-critical IT environment with high availability. In addition to performing technical and operational tasks, the Lead SRE takes charge of the team, stimulates innovation and contributes to the culture of continuous improvement. Work is done within a SAFe framework with a strong focus on automation and DevOps principles. Assignment description This is a temporary assignment for the period from June 2025 to June 2027 at the latest. Interim termination is possible, with a notice period of at least one calendar month. The Lead SRE is responsible for coaching and mentoring team members, promoting their professional growth and stimulating a working environment where collaboration is paramount. He or she ensures the quality of delivery by implementing best practices and performing regular reviews. In addition, the Lead SRE actively participates in technical and operational tasks, including setting up and managing IT processes and chain testing. Taking the lead based on knowledge of the technology and the content is given direction with the team. Identifying opportunities for automation and implementing innovative solutions to increase efficiency is also part of the tasks. In addition, the Lead SRE periodically participates in 24x7 standby services and maintenance activities outside office hours, he or she effectively manages incidents to ensure operational continuity. Purpose of the assignment The goal is to realize a well-functioning operational IT environment that meets the set requirements and standards. This includes implementing automated workflows in GitLab CI to increase efficiency and reliability, promoting a strong collaborative team that continuously improves and shares knowledge, and ensuring good (adequate) documentation of all activities and actively transferring and sharing knowledge to colleagues. The Lead SRE takes a proactive approach to identify and resolve issues early. Responsibilities Manage and optimize operational IT processes according to (derived) ITIL. Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Ansible, Terraform Manage container technologies such as Kubernetes, Helm and Docker. Support CI/CD pipelines with Git and GitLab CI. Ensure the security of (private) cloud environments. Provide mentoring and support to team members within the SRE team. Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders to achieve operational goals. Continuously improve processes and systems through automation and DevOps principles. Document work and actively transfer knowledge to colleagues to ensure continuity and collaboration. Develop and implement team development strategies and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Evaluate and improve team member performance through regular feedback and coaching. Ensure adherence to best practices and standards within the team. Proactively identify and resolve operational issues to ensure the stability and efficiency of the IT environment. Initiate and lead projects focused on innovation and improvement of operational processes and systems. The proposed candidate will be invited for an intake interview with Capgemini based on the CV; 2. In the event of a suitable match, the candidate''s CV will be converted into a Capgemini CV and the CV will be sharpened together; 3. This new CV will be provided to the client of Capgemini; 4. If a match is recognized on the basis of the CV, an intake will follow together with Capgemini at the client. A decision will follow within a few days; 5. Upon start, an on-boarding process will follow, consisting of: a. Formalize contract with Fixed Today; b. Request VOG; c. Access to Capgemini systems for, among other things, time recording (via mobile app); d. Obtain Capgemini laptop that is hardened to meet the security requirements of the client; e. Validation of identity via so-called WID scan on Dutch identity document at the client''s location; f. Obtaining accounts on the client''s infrastructure.
