Leap29 is excited to present a great new opportunity with a leading international renewables company specialising in decentralised energy transition, delivering energy efficiency solution across Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. We are currently seeking a Group Technical Advisor to join our client''s Energy Efficiency team in Madrid. The ideal candidate will provide expert technical leadership and support across HVAC, and refrigeration systems. This is a hybrid technical and strategic role that blends subject matter expertise with internal consultancy, training, and project assurance. Youll work across multiple business units to guide major energy efficiency initiatives, helping clients reduce consumption and decarbonise thermal processes. Key responsibilities: Train teams on energy audits and thermal demand simulations for refrigeration and HVAC systems Validate and recommend optimal thermal equipment and Building Management Systems to maximise efficiency Guide the preparation of technical and economic proposals, including budgets and ROI analyses Support tender management and contract closure with clients and suppliers, ensuring compliance with standards Assist local teams with construction follow-up, works acceptance, and punch list management on key projects Coach and develop Energy Efficiency engineers and managers Engage with clients and providers for major projects as needed Develop standardised asset management processes for the systems you oversee Key requirements: Master''s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or similar 10 years in HVAC and commercial/industrial refrigeration (including freezing) covering engineering, installation and O&M stages Expert knowledge of F-Gas regulations and refrigeration cycles, including ammonia systems Skilled in thermal simulation (e.g., OpenStudio), compressor selection software, and distribution network design Experienced in SCADA/BMS control systems for HVAC and refrigeration Familiar with major manufacturers and suppliers (direct contacts would be a plus) Proven experience managing installation of thermal energy systems and networks Proficient in thermal simulation and analysis tools Proven track record supporting project design, procurement, and commissioning Fluent in English (Spanish, French or other EU languages a plus) Willing to travel across Europe and other regions as needed If you are ready to take your career to the next level, apply today!
