For our client, an international company, we are looking for a Corporate Accountant, reporting to the Finance Manager, to join a small and dynamic team in a beautiful office in Amsterdam.
You are responsible for your own entity in NL . You take care of their accounts and finance with a wide range of tasks to keep you challenged with plenty of space for learning and a supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day accounting and reporting, including accounts payable/receivable, closing and reconciliations (monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis) for responsible entities
- Support the Finance Manager in preparing forecasts and budgets, including the statutory financial statements for the Dutch entities
- Support the Finance Manager and the Tax advisors with the preparation and review of local taxation (CIT, VAT and WHT)
- Liaise with other Group functions to ensure understanding of the entities and promote clear and transparent financial analysis of our business
- Ensure the compliance of all financial activities and documentation of business practices, policies and requirements for local and corporate are in place
- Continuous improvement, support projects aimed at simplifying and improving processes, with focus on driving business performance and creating value
Candidate Profile:
- An joyful, motivated self-starter
- A degree in Finance or Business Administration related fields
- 3-6 years of experience in industry accounting or audit
- Robust knowledge of the IFRS and /or Dutch GAAP
- Knowledge of HFM and SAP softwares a plus
- Skilled in Excel reporting features
- Open and motivated towards organisational improvements
- Problem-solver with a passion for technical and analytical accounting
- Fluent in English and Dutch
