Do you have experience designing mission-critical satellite, radio and IP networks that keep offshore platforms safe and connected? Join a leading offshore team to lead the end-to-end telecom package, from concept through installation, testing and handover, across global projects.
What Youll Do:
- Develop telecom philosophies, layouts, block diagrams and link-budget calculations for VSAT, PAGA, PABX/VoIP, LAN/Wi-Fi/4G LTE, GMDSS and CCTV.
- Own the telecom scope; lead technical bid reviews, collaborate with supply chain, and balance cost, constructability, operability and maintainability.
- Guide a dispersed team of remote engineers and integrators to produce cable schedules, termination/loop diagrams and material take-offs.
- Review vendor data, validate interfaces with E&I/structural/safety teams, and perform quality checks on subcontractor deliverables.
- Ensure all systems meet IECEx, classification society, client and internal telecom standards. Provide feedback to standards groups for continuous improvement.
- Monitor emerging offshore/ship-building telecom technologies and mentor junior engineers on best practices.
What You Bring:
- BSc/MSc in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or related.
- 8 years in offshore-telecom system design (oil & gas preferred).
- Hands-on with VSAT, satellite comms, radio systems (UHF/VHF/GMDSS), VoIP/PABX, LAN/Wi-Fi/4G, CCTV and FPSO positioning interfaces.
- Proven package engineer with remote team management experience.
- Familiarity with IECEx and other offshore-telecom regulatory regimes.
- Strong communicator, decisive problem-solver, and collaborative mindset.
- Willingness to travel and support offshore campaigns as needed.
