As part of the PSI-IMPACT large-scale project, the sub-project TATTOOS focuses on the production and online separation of novel radionuclides for research in radiopharmaceutical cancer therapy. This includes the technical development and implementation of advanced and innovative beamline and target concepts. For this project we are looking for a

Mechanical Engineer

Your tasks

Development of systems from concept through to detailed design and practical implementation
Finite element analysis using ANSYS
Selection of appropriate resource-efficient manufacturing processes and product functionalities, taking into account safety-related and ecological aspects
Preparation of technical documentation for the manufacturing and assembly of components and systems

Your profile

Completed technical vocational training with further training as a mechanical engineer FH or ETH
Several years of experience in mechanical engineering; knowledge in prototyping and/or special-purpose machinery is an advantage
Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD systems (preferably CATIA V6) as well as simulation tools
You are comfortable dealing with various stakeholders in Englishand German
With your proactive personality, you take the initiative to drive a project forward and work in a structured manner
Experience with isotope targets, ISOL and RIB is a plus
