The Area Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for supporting facilities within the region in creating and implementing Sherwin Williams'' CI culture. This role involves working closely with manufacturing and distribution sites to understand current processes and improve them for monetary, time, or morale benefits. The manager serves as the main contact for coaching and training on CI strategies and needs.Key Responsibilities:Increase operational transparency by measuring losses and generating loss trees.Enhance productivity using lean tools and Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., value stream mapping, 5S, Kanban) to eliminate delays, duplications, unnecessary movements, communication issues, inventory inaccuracies, and defects.Lead pillar training and the Standard Work program, collaborating with facilities on certification processes.Coach operational teams in continuous improvement techniques and foster a proactive CI culture.Ensure manageable ownership of work to sustain the culture.Develop and deliver training on CI tools.Maintain momentum of improvement initiatives and create reports to identify opportunities.Support CI project maintenance and process analysis in the Onbase database.Assist with project scoping, process improvements, and communication of goals to meet SW standards.Participate in project design reviews and negotiate resource requirements.Implement plans to maintain 5-year CI initiatives and promote best practices.Drive standardization and share best practices across the region.Analyze production trends, generate analytics reports, and audit sites for CI certification sustainability.Partner with leadership to prioritize needs and promote a ''management by fact'' mindset.Principal Accountabilities:Effective communication and understanding of CI goals and strategies.Position Requirements:Formal Education:Bachelor''s Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.Knowledge & Experience:Organized, excellent communicator, goal-oriented, team player.Preferred: Background in Continuous Improvement (Six Sigma or Lean).Technical Skills:Experience coaching CI tools and techniques, including TPM framework.Manufacturing experience in a consumer goods environment.Strong financial awareness and understanding of business functions.Leadership, influencing, coaching, communication skills, enthusiasm, patience, analytical mindset, teamwork.Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience.System Access:Proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Visio, Oracle/eAM, OBIEE, Watson, Minitab, Business Objects.Note: Internal applicants must have completed at least one year in their current role and inform their manager before applying.
