Job Description

Purposes of the position

You will be a key member of development project teams, acting as the global analytical champion for selected active substances. Working alongside lab technicians, you will perform a wide range of analytical tasks.

This role offers opportunities for various career stages, from developing skills in analytical science & technology to taking on leadership roles. Depending on experience, you may lead a team of Lab Technicians, serving as a steppingstone for managerial growth at Syngenta. Our state-of-the-art labs are equipped with chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques to support your success. Whether starting your industrial analytical career or bringing extensive experience, this role provides exciting challenges and growth opportunities within Syngenta.

Your main tasks

  1. Interact intensively with development teams, especially chemical process and formulation development.
  2. Collaborate with technical, regulatory, supply chain, and marketing teams on interdisciplinary and international projects.
  3. Contribute to cross-site projects by providing data for worldwide registration of crop protection substances.
  4. Perform quality assessments for selecting external manufacturers.
  5. Plan, execute, and interpret demanding laboratory work and experimental data independently.
  6. Solve problems proactively through analytical thinking.
  7. Guide, advise, and train laboratory staff in various analytical techniques.
  8. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, potentially acting as GLP Study Director.
