Submit clean electronic and paper claims to MLTCs and other payers timely.Resubmit denied and rejected claims timely after clearing denial reasons and billing edits.- Ability to apply payments electronically and manually in to the Billing System- Well versed with follow up of claim denials and appeal processes. Draft appeal letters to MLTC''s and collection letters to private clients.- Make collection calls on assigned accounts including Private clients.- Conduct monthly aging reviews and initiate immediate follow-up actions on those accounts that are overdue. Keep the aging clean and current.- Update open aging spread sheets monthly for assigned accounts and send to the plans to speed up the collection process.- Perform other related or assigned tasks.Knowledge, Skills And RequirementsInterpersonal skills and Excellent telephone manners- At least 3 years billing experience in a Licensed Home Care Service Agency- HHA eXchange experience is a plus- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel- Knowledge of Medicaid Billing Guidelines
