Job Title: Welding Technology EngineerLocation: Cucciago (CO)Welding Technology Engineer presides over the design and development of Laser Welding Technology.Supports colleagues in the technical area responsible for designing and developing Laser Welding Systems and their enabling Technologies.Collaborates with other Technology Engineers overseeing other Processing Technologies (e.g., Laser Cutting), sharing design and development methods and tools, and working together for continuous improvement.Main ResponsibilitiesDevelop Laser Welding Technology: design and perform experiments, data analysis, model definition, process specifications;Support the design of Welding Systems and enabling Technologies for Laser Welding;Assist in defining the best technical configuration for clients;Coordinate internal research activities or with external partners/research centers aimed at developing Laser Welding Technology and continuous improvement methods and tools.Main ActivitiesConduct tests and technological trials related to Laser Welding technology;Design, develop, and validate models (analytical, experimental, FEM) describing the Laser Welding Process;Contribute to validation tests for Laser Welding Systems and related Enabling Technologies;Design feasibility studies to define the optimal System configuration according to customer product specifications;Perform demos, training, and testing for clients.Note: As with all job descriptions, the provided information is necessarily concise, focusing on the primary objectives of the role. In daily activities, additional tasks, activities, and responsibilities that are logically connected and relevant should be integrated.Essential RequirementsMaster''s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Physics;Skills in experimental design and analysis methods (e.g., Design of Experiments, Analysis of Variance, Response Surface Methodology) and tools (e.g., R, Minitab);Skills in material characterization: metallurgical analysis, destructive and non-destructive testing, Positive Material Identification, mechanical testing;Excellent command of English;Ability to conduct laboratory activities, testing, R&D on industrial machines, machine tools, and prototypes;Skills in programming (offline and online) of robotic systems.Preferred RequirementsPrevious experience with industrial robots and high-power industrial laser systems;Organization, drafting, and management of research projects and technical documentation;PhD in Engineering;International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification.Job Function: Design & Engineering#J-18808-Ljbffr
