At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.We are looking for a Software Architect in the Automotive Solutions Team.The position is based in Milan, Italy, Paris, France, or Munich, Germany.Key Responsibilities :The Software Architect will be part of the R&D team developing the Midas Safety Platform, focusing on the Cadence EDA design, verification, and implementation flow for safety-critical automotive and industrial applications. They will contribute to shaping a holistic DesignForSafety approach that integrates Functional Safety into the traditional EDA flow.This role involves working with safety organizations, safety experts, and internal product teams to define features and roadmaps for the Midas Safety Platform.The individual will support the organization''s mission, vision, and values, exhibiting behaviors such as excellence, collaboration, flexibility, innovation, respect, accountability, and ownership.Main Role :Participate in architecting and designing complex software projects.Interface with R&D, product teams, and customers to define specifications for new features, and collaborate on implementation, bug fixing, and testing.Responsible for product documentation, demonstrations, training, and technical white papers.Support application engineers on the Safety Flow and its application in customer projects.Collaborate with product engineers, marketing, safety consultants, vendors, and customers on Functional Safety activities.Job Qualifications and Skills :BSEE, BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering; MS or PhD preferred.Strong C/C++ development skills with an understanding of object-oriented design.7+ years of relevant work experience.Expertise in Functional Safety concepts and standards such as ISO26262 and IEC61508.Experience in Functional Safety analysis (FMEA, FMEDA), compliance testing, auditing, or quality assurance of embedded HW/SW systems.Experience with ASIC design methodologies and EDA tools.We do work that matters.
