The project:
Our client in the utilities sector is looking for a Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive Implementor to join their team.
Key responsibilities:
PM and ESRS data technical expert for the digital stream
- Support the IT/data team in modelling the data in accordance with the quantitative datapoints from Environment (E1, E4, E5), Social (S1, S2) and Governance (G1)
- Contribute to definition of standard operating procedures and related documentation;
- Together with the project team, drive consensus on proposed solutions across business and IT;
- Ensure full compliance with the ESRS guidance when the data engineers are modelling the data in the data pipelines;
- Remain up to date with the ESRS simplification coming from the Omnibus that can impact the data modelling;
- Stakeholders engagement: ensure that all the interested parties and consulted/informed and kept updated with the progress of the stream; discover synergies with other ongoing digital initiatives;
- Collaborate with the auditors in the context of the limited assurance activities;
Drive the connectivity project and Taxonomy improvements
- Enhance and create new internal documentation for the Taxonomy methodology of retrieving Turnover/CAPEX/OPEX
- Lead implementation and create a Group-wide methodology for retrieving CAPEX/OPEX linked to sustainability actions (MDR-A from ESRS2) across E1, E4, E5 and S1, S2
- Lead implementation and create a Group-wide methodology for the phased-in disclosure requirements related to anticipated financial effects (For example, E1-9).
Lead improvements for governance-related matters for the 2025 audit:
- In collaboration mode with the Group Risk Management team and other stakeholders create a uniform inventory of (ESG) Group policies;
- Support the Group-wide implementation of a due diligence process
Is this you?
- Minimum 5-6 years of professional experience
- Direct experience and knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks such as ESRS. GRI, SASB, TCFD
- Good knowledge of French and Dutch, fluency in English. German is a plus
- Previous experience with external (ESG or financial) assurance (experience in a consultancy company is preferred)
- Previous experience with implementing digital/IT projects, specifically for ESG is a plus;
- A Master degree, preferably in the fields of finance, environmental science, engineering, economics, sustainability management or similar
- Analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to process data, analyze information, think critically
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management/ time management skills to handle reporting requirements
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex sustainability information effectively
- Reliable, well organised, analytical and result driven with high standards or ethics and professionalism
- Collaborative team player, but also with high levels of autonomy and accountability for your own work
- A genuine passion for sustainability and a desire to drive positive change.
