Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Principal Automation Project Engineer in Geel, Belgium.

The Geel site is the largest chemical production site for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) within the JnJ supply chain. We ensure that lifesaving medicines reach the patient safely, optimally, and competitively. Besides API production, the site has a launch & grow mission for new pharmaceutical products. To accomplish this, we invest in new technologies, people, and partnerships. Our teams work in a dynamic environment where innovation and a ''can do'' attitude are valued.

This role focuses on project delivery and offers a hybrid working pattern: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. It''s an exciting opportunity to join us now!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop specifications, strategies, and roadmaps for automation systems, instrumentation, and new technologies.
  2. Lead or participate as a core team member in automation-related projects, ensuring successful delivery.
  3. Ensure computerized systems are fit for purpose and facilitate smooth operational release.
  4. Build effective relationships with internal and external partners.
