Job description:
As a Customer Support & Service Sales Engineer at AV Flexologic, you will be the key contact for our customers, ensuring excellent support while also driving sales of maintenance contracts, field upgrades, and service solutions. This hybrid role combines technical expertise, customer relationship management, inside sales, and project coordination to enhance customer satisfaction and maximize service revenue.
You will play a critical role in supporting customers, managing service contracts, and overseeing field upgrade projects. Your ability to combine technical problem-solving with a commercial mindset will be essential in growing AV Flexologics service portfolio while ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Support & Technical Assistance:
Act as the first point of contact for customers regarding technical inquiries, troubleshooting, and product support.
Provide remote technical support via phone, email, and online tools to resolve customer issues efficiently.
Collaborate with the service team to schedule and coordinate on-site service visits.
Inside Sales & Service Contract Management:
Proactively sell maintenance contracts and service agreements to ensure long-term customer engagement.
Follow up with customers to identify sales opportunities for spare parts, upgrades, and additional services.
Maintain and expand customer relationships by understanding their needs and proposing tailored solutions.
Field Upgrades & Project Management:
Manage the sales and execution of field upgrades, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Work closely with the engineering and service teams to coordinate technical upgrades and installations.
Ensure proper documentation, planning, and follow-up for service-related projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Support the sales team with technical expertise in customer discussions.
Provide customer feedback to engineering and product development teams for continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate records in the CRM system (e.g., Odoo) for service contracts, sales, and support cases.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical background (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering) combined with a commercial mindset.
Experience in customer support, inside sales, or service management in a technical environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and explain technical issues to customers.
Sales and negotiation skills, with experience in selling service contracts or technical solutions.
Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch and/or other languages are a plus).
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Odoo, Salesforce) and project management tools.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and service coordination.
