Youll manage, optimize, and modernize our systemsprimarily on AWS with some GCPwhile collaborating closely with our cybersecurity expert and a world-class software engineering team. We focus on results - smooth system operations, continuous and rapid progress, and ensuring your availability aligns with team needs.Rapid Career Growth: Youll have plenty of room to advance within a growing global organization.Learn from the Best: Join a high-caliber engineering team that builds products used by millions.Generous Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package that reflects your experience and expertise.Key Responsibilities:Primary contact for all engineering-related infrastructure and deployment queries.Full ownership of our existing infrastructure, mainly AWS with some GCP.Lead incident management and response, including efficient on-call procedures and insightful post-mortems.Define and implement SLIs and SLOs for services.Develop and maintain advanced monitoring and alerting systems.Manage and upgrade legacy infrastructure using ECS and TerraformCollaborate with cybersecurity and software engineering teams.Drive strategic IT initiatives, aligning Dev Ops/SRE strategies with business goals.Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and architectures.Budget management for Dev Ops/SRE activities, focusing on cost optimization.Work with the security team to ensure compliance with ISO27001 standards.Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.Requirements:Demonstrated success in a similar role, with a strong bias toward action and ownershipAbility to work autonomously and in collaboration with cross-functional teamsExpertise in AWS/GCP, Terraform, and ideally Ansible too.Excellent communication, self-organisation, and problem-solving skillsExperience in a startup or high-growth environment is strongly preferredMust HavesExtensive knowledge writing infrastructure as code in TerraformGCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Build, Logging, IAM, Cloud Storage, Big Query, Cloud Run, VPC Network, Network Services, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Scheduler, Workflows, Pub/Sub)AWS: ECS, RDS, VPC, ELB, Spot InstancesDatabase Architecture (Maria DB and Galera Cluster)Tools (Ansible, Docker, Linux/Ubuntu, Nginx, SSL, DNS)Virtualization Scalability experienceCould HavesNetworking, backup strategy, CI/CD, Proxy SQL, Redis, VPNBonus PointsKnowledge of the Dutch languageXdebug, Sentry, Git Hub, PHP/Symfony, ComposerKnowledge of Python or a passion for software developmentVONQ is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
