Job Overview:

Were seeking a trade-tested HGV Mechanic with strong diagnostic skills, good English, and a valid HGV license (Code CE or equivalent). Youll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a fleet of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy, safe, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and mechanical repairs on HGV trucks.
- Diagnose engine and mechanical faults using visual checks, test drives, and diagnostic tools.
- Remove, dismantle, repair, and replace defective parts as needed.
- Reassemble and test systems, tuning and adjusting where necessary.
- Perform routine checks on filters, brakes, cooling systems, and other key components.
- Identify and resolve electrical and electronic faults, replacing faulty components.
- Install and repair in-vehicle electrical systems, including amenities and safety equipment.
- Service and repair air conditioning, heating, and engine cooling systems.
- Maintain accurate service records and follow maintenance schedules.
- Use initiative to work independently and adapt to different vehicle systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanic trade qualification (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
- Valid HGV driving license (Code CE or equivalent).
- Conversational English Skills/
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work across various vehicle systems and brands.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications are an advantage (can be completed in Ireland).
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary: 45,000 - 48,000 per year | 48-hour week
