For the coming year, we are looking for a teaching assistant (Hilfsassistent) for the implementation of interactive graphical elements in python-based Jupyter Notebooks. These notebooks will be used as teaching tools in the DBIOL course Bioanalytics. We are looking for experience with matplotlib, plotly, ipywidgets, and Jupyter Notebooks as well as Python in general. A background in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology would be a plus but is not required.
You will work in a small team of 3-4 people. Except for a bi-weekly meeting, you will have great flexibility in choosing your working hours and location. The planned workflow will be that we discuss the desired interactive features in a team. You will assess the feasibility of such features and propose implementations or alternatives and then work on implementing these implementations that work with the general Python code developed for the non-interactive features.
