For the Imaging and Animal Models department of our research center based in Geneva (Switzerland), we are looking for a:
Physics Research Assistant (F/M)
Mission:
- Conduct experimental laboratory activities in medical ultrasound acoustics, including device testing, contrast agent characterization, acoustic modeling and image processing
Activities:
Under the responsibility of the Physics lab manager, you will have to perform the following tasks:
- Conduct laboratory experimentation in the field of ultrasound Physics using custom test benches, including signal acquisition and processing
- Test new applications for acoustic responsive agents, in the domain of ultrasound imaging and therapy
- Prepare in vitro models
- Process signal and images
- Be involved in pre-clinical imaging and therapeutic studies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in applied Physics
- Strong knowledge in applied Physics in the field of wave and fluid mechanics, ideally complemented by a life science background
- Ability to provide expertise and establish experimental protocols
- Experience in scientific software and instrumentation programming (Matlab, Python, Labview)
- Excellent writing skills
- Fluency in French English (both oral and written)
- Highly motivated, rigorous and effective problem-solving skills
- Teamwork oriented
