CTG IT Solutions is an IT Services Company dedicated to European Institutions. We are currently hiringa Network & Security Engineer to strengthen our team within a prestigious European Institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfill service requests related to network operations.
- Provide2nd level incident responseand escalate issues to vendors when necessary.
- Contribute toproblem management, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supportlifecycle management activitiesfor network services, ensuring efficiency and compliance with best practices.
- Assist in thedesign and implementation of new services and network solutions.
- Manageconfiguration changesand ensure documentation is up to date.
- Design and implementnetwork management systemsand other operational tools:
- Define architecture and evaluate market solutions.
- Conduct proof of concepts and pre-production testing.
- Implementnew solutions for operations, including:
- Migrating new systems into production.
- Defining operational procedures and automating routine tasks.
- Develop and configurecustom tools(, web-based dashboards, databases, automation scripts).
- Evaluatequality and efficiency of operationsby defining and implementing metrics.
- Regularly monitor and analyze network performance metrics, proposing measures forquality and efficiency improvements.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in network operations in a large-scale environment.
- Strong knowledge of incident management, request fulfillment, and problem resolution.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management in enterprise networks.
- Experience working with network management and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with routing and switching technologies (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VPNs, MPLS, etc.).
- Good understanding of firewall policies, F5 load balancing, and security best practices (focus on F5 and Palo Alto).
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform is a plus).
- Understanding of network performance monitoring and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience working in multi-vendor environments (F5, Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work on problem resolution and service improvements.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degreein Computer Science, Networks, Telecommunications, or equivalent.
- Arelevant networking certification(, CCNA, CCNP, NSE4, or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Fluency inEnglish (C Level)is required.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Hands-on experience withnetwork automation tools.
- Knowledge ofcloud networking (AWS, Azure, or hybrid-cloud solutions).
- Understanding ofcontainer networking (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Experience withnetwork telemetry and monitoring tools.
- Exposure toSDN and network virtualization(NSX, Cisco ACI).
