Ensure that equipment is in-control, compliant, and capable of meeting customer needs, while also driving continuous improvement efforts. The Engineer engages with the cross-functional support team as an equipment subject matter expert to ensure the business meets safety, quality, and productivity goals.The candidate will work with a cross-functional team and will provide expertise in Automation, Process Controls, and Data Analysis.Main Responsibilities:Maintain the validated state of the site control systems in line with Lilly quality standards, including the development and execution of validation strategies and associated documentation.Lead investigation and execution activities.Provide day-to-day operational support related to the sites control systems, including troubleshooting, making changes in line with site procedures, responding to system events, and performing routine maintenance checks.Implement and support electronic systems (such as plant historians) used to capture process automation data.Design, specify, and code control systems, primarily the sites DCS systems.Test automation system functionality.Manage automation projects.Support automation for capital projects, including new product introductions, facility and automation system upgrades, and expansions.Collaborate to respect the production plan.Interact with external vendors and parties.Relationship:All manufacturing functions, PA team members, and MI&CS group.Required Qualifications:M.S. in Engineering (Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or similar).Fluent in English (spoken and written).Additional Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.Excellent self-management and organizational skills.Ability to influence without authority.Strong knowledge of Distributed Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.Technical curiosity and strong problem-solving skills, with a desire for continuous improvement.Previous experience in process automation engineering, preferably supporting a manufacturing site.Lilly does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
