Bring your passion and become a game-changer!We see your potential.We are seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer capable of designing, developing, and testing mechanical and optical components for complex opto-mechatronic devices such as Sensors, Safety, and Machine Vision products, with a special focus on maintenance concerning production phases and supply chain.You will join a team of 4 internal + external mechanical engineers and a growing R&D community that offers opportunities in design learning and technology research.Here, you will be encouraged to act as a leader, find innovative solutions, submit patent proposals, share ideas, and accept new challenges:Carry out detailed mechanical design activities, leveraging 3D modelling, tolerances analysis, prototyping, and experiments.Develop dimensioning of part drawings according to their function and measurement methods.Verify and demonstrate design compliance to specifications, considering worst-case scenarios and statistical worst cases based on production yield.Conduct design reviews, engaging in technical debates with knowledgeable colleagues.Keep design files and technical documentation up to date and stored according to departmental procedures.Identify and estimate mechanical technical risks associated with designs.Collaborate closely with operations, manufacturing, and production engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable.Update Bill of Materials as needed.Estimate product costs, design efforts, and delivery timelines.Manage multiple tasks independently and efficiently.QualificationsThe most engaging way to make a difference.If you feel it''s time for a new challenge and to advance your career, Datasensing is the right place for your next step. Grow in a passionate environment and share your experience purposefully.Your skills will be valued along with the following expertise:Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Languages: Italian, English (B2 minimum).Knowledge of 3D CAD systems, Microsoft Office tools (preferably Siemens NX), SAP (basic).Knowledge of metrology and standard equipment.At least 3 years of experience in design principles, including:Geometrical Product Specification and mechanical modelling and drawings.Tolerance analysis: Worst Case and Statistical approaches.Understanding of design issues and solutions in thermoplastic injection molding, die casting, CNC machining, sheet metal stamping, and extrusion.An inspiring environment with a shared vision.We value respect, collaboration, and communication.
