Metrea Special Aerospace -Vertical Applications (MSA-VA) (Formerly Special Applications Group (SAG)) is seeking experienced AH-64D / AH-64Ev6 Instructor Pilot (IP) for the SATMO AH-64D/E TAFT program located at the Inowroclaw Air Base, Poland , but the TAFT Team may occasionally be required to operate at other locations in Morocco (receiving seaport, aerial gunnery range, exercises, etc.) on a temporary basis.

Position Summary
AH-64D / AH-64Ev6 Instructor Pilot (IP) : This is a flying position . The IP serves as a TAFT instructor pilot for unit training and AH-64D/E tactical employment. The IP will conduct readiness level progression to PAF aviators. This pilot must have skills required to conduct training on Aviation Mission Planning System planning, Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) procedures and AH-64D/E tactical employment curriculum to include gunnery operations. In addition, will conduct oral evaluations of all PAF pilots IAW the PAFs training and proficiency requirements.
Essential Functions Statements
- The PAF has purchased 96 AH-64Ev6 Attack Helicopters as part of their Air Force Aviation modernization. The delivery schedule is currently projected to have six (6) AH-64Ev6 delivered in phases beginning quarter one of 2028. The United States Department of Defense has agreed to lease eight (8) AH-64D model aircraft as an interim solution until the first delivery of the AH-64Ev6. The AH-64D lease is tentatively scheduled for delivery in March/April of 2025. The PAF currently have Mi24 aircraft as their primary means of attack helicopters. They have experienced Pilots; however, they do lack expertise and experience with AH-64D/E operations and maintenance. To address this capability gap, the Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO) has a requirement to provide a TAFT; to provide initial and ongoing training to the PAF, tentatively, between March 2025 through March 2030.
- The TAFT mission will be focused on providing appropriate training to PAF on the proper operation and maintenance of the aircraft that will comprise the Polish AH-64D/Ev6 Apache Attack Battalion. The goal of 100% of available pilots to achieve Readiness Level 1, 50% of available PAF Maintainers to achieve 30 Level standards with the rest to achieve a minimum of 20 Level Standards, and all 30 Level PAF maintainers to receive Technical Inspector (TI) training. Training records will be maintained and documented to track progression.
- The overall objective of the TAFT is to assist PAF in building a mission-ready AH-64D/E Attack Helicopter Company/Battalion with appropriately trained instructor pilots and maintenance support personnel capable of supporting its primary mission of Attack Reconnaissance operations.
- Provide and train MTP support of test flights and maintenance ground runs as the PAF assumes responsibility for AH-64D/E maintenance. Mentor PAF future MTPs prior to attending the Ft. Novosel AH-64E MTP Course. Perform TI and Production Control duties of the maintenance being performed by the PAF as their maintainers lack the specific expertise and experience to safely perform TI duties.
- Conduct a progressive AH-64D/E academic, simulator and aircraft hands-on in-flight training that includes tactical employment for PAF pilots.
- Advise and assist the PAF to establish an effective AH-64D/E standardization, training and sustainment program.
- Advise and assist the PAF to establish effective AH-64D/E specific Logistics, Sustainment, Aircrew Life Support Equipment (ALSE) and Aircraft Ground Servicing Equipment (AGSE) programs.
- Support the development of PAF SOP for AH-64D/E handling, transportation, associated training, maintenance and administrative support.
