Senior Project Manager With Dutch Language:

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex legacy system replacement projects within a dynamic, international enterprise environment. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in delivering large-scale, cross-functional IT and business transformation initiatives, particularly in the transport and logistics sector. This role requires deep project management expertise, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to work in a highly matrixed and multicultural organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Business and Technology stakeholders to define success metrics and project criteria for success.
- Collaborate with external vendors to ensure alignment and successful delivery of future-state solutions.
- Continually update stakeholders on project status and publish regular project reports.
- Identify, assess, and resolve high-priority project risks and dependencies.
- Develop key project documentation including the project charter, integrated plan, resource plan, and contingency strategies.
- Acquire and manage project resources effectively across all tracks.
- Define roles and responsibilities across workstreams: functional, business implementation, data, architecture, integration, testing, and innovation.
- Apply standard project methodologies in line with both industry best practices and AFKL frameworks.
- Allocate staff and budget to respond to evolving project needs.
- Lead risk management activities and increase the likelihood of successful project delivery.
- Conduct stakeholder and team meetings, and communicate progress and actions clearly.
- Mentor team members on PMO processes and requirements.
- Ensure timely follow-up on team deliverables and responsibilities.
Competencies & Skills Required:
- Minimum 20 years of experience in large-scale business/IT projects within international enterprises.
- Demonstrated experience with complex legacy system transformation projects.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and verbal).
- Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in stakeholder management across all organizational levels.
- Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organization.
- Must be available for on-site work 4 days per week in Amsterdam.
