Instrumentation Engineer Valve Subject Matter Expert Geleen, Netherlands We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrumentation Engineer with a strong focus on instrumented valves to join our team as a Valve Subject Matter Expert. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of our equipment across production facilities. You will also contribute to our mission of promoting sustainability through continuous improvement and innovation. Key Responsibilities Technical Expertise: Act as the go-to expert for all matters related to instrumented valves, including selection, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Stay current with industry advancements and best practices. Valve Optimisation: Work with cross-functional engineering teams to optimize valve performance for reliability, efficiency, and safety. Identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. Maintenance Troubleshooting: Lead resolution of valve-related issues to minimize downtime. Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to extend valve lifespan. Training Knowledge Sharing: Provide training to operations and maintenance staff on valve management, ensuring best practices are followed. Share technical knowledge to build internal capabilities. Compliance Quality Assurance: Ensure all valve systems meet regulatory and industry standards. Define critical quality checkpoints for valve maintenance and overhaul activities, and ensure proper documentation and sign-offs. Sustainability Commitment: Support initiatives that reduce emissions and contribute to a more sustainable operating environment. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering (or related field). Minimum 7 years of experience in instrumentation, preferably in the chemical or process industry. Strong knowledge of valve types, materials, applications, and associated systems. Proven ability to diagnose and solve complex technical issues. Excellent team collaboration and communication skills. Understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements in valve systems. Proficiency in Dutch is required. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
