We are looking for an organized self-starter to join the Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) team at Amazon.Amazon Transportation Services have built a world-class Middle Mile operation, which relies on an exceptional pool of carriers who work relentlessly to meet our customers expectations. TRC is seeking a Compliance and Risk Analyst to audit Amazon Middle-Mile carrier partners compliance against contractual and legal requirements and promote a culture of compliance both internally and externally.The ideal candidate will have strong audit experience, preferably in transportation, capable of conducting carrier audits, identifying compliance and safety risks, proposing mitigation strategies, and delivering detailed reports. They should have excellent attention to detail, a data-driven mindset, and strong soft skills for stakeholder management and building trust with carriers. Team spirit and autonomy are essential.Key responsibilities include:Vet Middle-Mile carrier candidates against Amazon policies before onboarding.Conduct audits of carrier partners based on the TRC audit workbook, ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory standards.Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, highlights, and recommendations for senior management and business partners.Provide clear and actionable feedback to carriers to help them achieve compliance.Perform short-notice audits as needed, maintaining high standards of quality and flexibility.Investigate suspicious carrier activities that could pose risks to Amazon, customers, or others.Meet individual and team goals with diligence and high standards.Participate in special projects as required.A typical day involves:Assessing carrier compliance across a large network, identifying key issues, and reporting trends to inform long-term solutions. The team operates across Europe, working independently within countries and collaborating on regional topics.Basic QualificationsAudit experience, preferably in transportFluency in Italian and EnglishAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsProject management and process improvement experienceAbility to work with international teams with integrity and team spiritStrong analytical and interpretative skillsProficiency in Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)Research and investigation skillsExperience handling confidential dataWillingness to travel up to 10%Preferred QualificationsExperience in transportation management or related fieldsKnowledge of local transport laws and regulationsCompliance and risk management backgroundProfessional auditing certificationExperience with data software (e.g., Tableau, QuickBase)Fluency in additional languages such as French, German, Dutch, Lithuanian, Spanish, or RomanianNote: If you do not hold a passport for the country of the vacancy, you may need a work permit.
