Our clients Exploratory Lab department is seeking an R&D Engineer to support thin film device developments, offering an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a team-oriented environment
The assignment
- Follow-up of process runs under the supervision of the responsible project leader or scientist
- Suggest and deliver improvements to the process
- Deposition of thin films from solution and vacuum, using in particular tools like spin-coating, physical or chemical vapor deposition and atomic-layer deposition.
- Physical and optical characterization of the deposited layers and realized devices
- Regular reporting in a consistent and rigorous way.
Required knowledge and skills
- You have a Master''s degree or higher in physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, material engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with processing of thin film layers and their analysis optical, microscopical and morphological.
- You like working within a team and can schedule your work according to deadlines and deliverables.
- You can work in a lab environment following strict safety and housekeeping rules.
- Given the international character of our client, a good knowledge of English is mandatory.
