Job Title: Freelance Data Engineer Location: Utrecht, Netherlands Type: Freelance Contract/ZZP Duration: 6 Months Hours: 3240 hours per week Working Model: Hybrid 2 days on-site, 3 days remote About the Role: On behalf of our client based in Utrecht, we are looking for a Freelance Data Engineer to support their data team for a 6-month engagement. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of technical skills, cloud knowledge, and analytical thinking to help enhance the clients data capabilities. This is a hybrid role, with two days a week in the office and the remainder remote. Key Functions: Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes Analyze and model large datasets to extract insights Create dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools Optimize databases and data warehouses for performance Work with teams to turn business needs into data solutions Technology Stack: Solid experience with programming languages: Python, SQL Proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools like Power BI Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms Working in Azure with tooling's like Fabric, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Datalake Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark (nice to have) Experience with CI/CD pipelines If you wish to be considered for the position, please e-mail an up to date CV with a contact number to: or alternatively call on +31 (0) 20 888 8400 and ask for Oscar.
