Event Program Coordinator**Purpose**:The main focus of this position is the selling, coordination, oversight and running of NHM?s Birthday, Sleepover, and All-Nighter (adult sleepover) programs. This position will work in conjunction with all Museum departments to calendar dates, coordinate staff, market the programs to meet revenue goals, and oversee the successful execution of all programs to client and Museum?s satisfaction.**Job responsibilities include**:Coordination of the calendar and staff to schedule and sell all Birthday, Sleepover, and All-Nighter dates to meet capacity and revenue goals.Coordination of all client and Museum requirements.Supervision and training of all event team members running Birthday, Sleepover and All-Nighter programs.Conceptualization and training of programs, with regular market research to ensure delivery of competitive and successful programs.Supervision and Running of all logstical elements of Birthday, Sleepover, and All-Nighter programs including vendors, other Museum staff, and client relations.Communication with all Museum staff to ensure Client and Museum satisfaction of the highest standard, including correct event set up.Communicate with client from initial inquiry, through booking, event completion and follow up, ensuring that both client expectations and Museum requirements are met.Greet and brief clients in a friendly, professional manner and ensure they are supported throughout their event, including attention to changing or last minute requirements.Receive and report feedback from customers and clients and to actively make efforts to address any issues, seeking to identify continuous improvement opportunities wherever possible.Perform audits and complete checklists on a regular basis as directed in areas of WHS compliance, maintenance identification and inventory control.Manage vendors related to Birthday, Sleepover, and All-Nighter programs, soliciting bids, processing invoices, and reporting all expenses in conjunction with the department and Museum?s policies.Work to market and sell programs to capacity in conjunction with Manger and Museum Communications staff.**Requirements include**:Must be available to work Wednesday-Sunday, with flexible hours pending event schedule, including evenings, as these programs mostly occur Fridays-Sundays.2-3 year?s event or hospitality experience.Marketing skills/experience a plus.Proven ability to successfully interact with adults and children.Ability to speak charismatically in public, as delivering welcome remarks. Must be flexible, a problem-solver, and able to work under pressure.This is a regular, full-time position with excellent benefits offered.
