We are looking for a senior professional for the Ocean Export department. The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the ocean export department within international shipping companies
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken, to be verified during the interview
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite
The candidate will be responsible for managing shipping procedures independentlyfrom booking to invoicingwhile reserving space with various maritime carriers and organizing shipments according to client or KWE network specifications. Compensation level and employment classification will be commensurate with the candidates actual experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients to obtain all necessary documentation for shipments
- Coordinating with shipping lines and NVOCCs for cargo bookings
- Communicating loading plans and cargo handling instructions to warehouse staff according to specific regulations
- Preparing shipping documents such as B/L, HBL, pickup and delivery notices
- Managing documentation related to customs formalities and transmitting necessary information to customs clearance departments
- Monitoring shipments, providing updates on vessel departures, and reporting any anomalies to clients and foreign offices
- Verifying billing details and applying correct tariffs
- Handling invoicing, including entering estimated and actual costs for each shipment
- Reviewing and processing supplier invoices and updating records accordingly
- Printing invoices and attaching relevant documentation
- Opening, closing, and archiving shipment files
- Managing customs documentation (MRN) and client communication regarding document release or non-conformities
- Reporting and addressing non-compliance issues in collaboration with the Department Manager and Quality Supervisor
