THE ROLE

The Process and Technological Updates Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of technological and operational solutions to optimize warehouse efficiency in a highly automated environment. This role will work closely with engineering, IT, and operations teams to design and develop advanced technologies, fostering a data-driven, high-performance work environment.

The Innovation Engineer will play a strategic role in assessing and implementing the latest technological innovations, delivering tangible and sustainable improvements in line with industry advancements. They will serve as the main point of contact for various internal teams, gathering requirements and listening to colleagues'' needs to create automation solutions that are genuinely effective and aligned with the company''s goals.

Direct report: Project Engineering Sr. Manager

Responsibilities of the role:

She/he carries out its activities by putting safety first, in compliance with workplace safety regulations (Legislative Decree 81/08) and safety procedures intended as protection of company assets.

Continuous Improvement:

Identifies innovation opportunities: Analyzes operational processes and proposes innovative technological solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.

Workflow optimization: Collaborates with operational teams to enhance workflows and warehouse layouts using data and advanced analytics.

Performance monitoring and analysis: Utilizes data analytics and machine learning tools to monitor and optimize KPIs related to warehouse productivity and quality.

Change Management activities

Adaptive Tech:

Design and development: Defines, designs, and implements advanced automation systems (robotics, AGVs, automated storage systems, etc.).

Continuous innovation: Stays updated on emerging technologies in logistics, automation, and AI to propose innovative solutions that can be implemented in the warehouse.

Continuous exploration of innovative technologies: Monitors and evaluates new technological trends in logistics and automation, proposing experimental solutions and testing their applicability in pilot projects.

Project management: Coordinates the implementation of new automation projects, overseeing all phases from initial planning to final delivery and evaluation.

Skills and Requirements:

Bachelor''s degree in STEM
At least 3 years'' experience in the management of continuous improvement and automation projects in the logistics and non-logistics sector, in/for multinational or Italian companies,
Cross-functional operations experience (including engineering, solution design, customer support, professional services, managed services, or other operational areas).
Automation expertise (AGV, Robotics, etc.)
Solid skills in process analysis.
Solid skills in Data analytics (PowerBI and simulation softwares)
Familiarity with PLC or programming systems
Fluent in English and Italian
Excellent knowledge of the Office Suite, Excel.
Nice to have: Warehouse Management System o ERP system.
Excellent organizational, analytical and managerial skills, teamwork orientation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with the various interlocutors with cultural diversity in an international organization

Soft skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills: ability to analyze processes and design innovative and sustainable solutions.
Teamwork orientation: experience working with cross-functional teams and ability to communicate effect
