For our Swiss offices, we are looking for technology thought leaders who have a strong background in building data platforms and love to use their skills to generate value by supercharging data teams. Our team helps customers on their data journey with Snowflake, which is the central data platform for companies big and small. That means you will work on some of the most challenging data projects in the world, in a post-sales capacity.

WHAT WE DO

We are the Professional Services team of Snowflake, which means we provide expert advisory services to our customers and help them build enterprise solutions that shape their businesses.

A customer journey might start with a migration project where we plan the when and how to migrate their workloads to Snowflake and execute the plan. Or it might begin with a greenfield project, where we simultaneously teach and demonstrate the best practices for working with Snowflake and translate them to our customers'' specific use cases.

We also support our customers in long-term continuous engagements, where we guide them from the initial setup of the platform all the way to the onboarding and the deployment of hundreds of their use cases. We thrive on solving complex data management and governance challenges.

WHAT A SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT AT SNOWFLAKE DOES

  1. Engage with several Snowflake customers
  2. Lead technical streams of client data platform implementations and onboarding efforts
  3. Work with the other Customer Engagement and Delivery matrix resources to ensure proper technical guidance, project management, and functional support
  4. Collaborate as needed with different Snowflake organizations: Engineering, Support, Sales, and Marketing
  5. Help clients troubleshoot their implementations and integrate the product within their ecosystem
  6. Identify, document, triage, and track issues to ensure resolution
  7. Actively contribute to the growth and scalability of the Customer Delivery and Training and Education teams through robust documentation, continuous process optimization, and capability cross-training
  8. Apply industry and technology expertise to client implementations
  9. Gather intelligent product feedback and recommendations from customers to design and inform new features and capabilities

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

People who have a strong track record in building best-in-class cloud data platforms and strong consulting skills.

Our Architects are required to have 12+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role and a working experience in:

  1. Distributed systems and massively parallel processing technologies and concepts such as Snowflake, Teradata, Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Oracle, SQL Server, and performance optimization
  2. Data strategies and methodologies such as Data Mesh, Data Vault, Data Fabric, Data Governance, Data Management, Enterprise Architecture
  3. Data organization and modeling concepts and techniques such as Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Medallion architecture, Kimball dimensional modeling, and 3NF database normalization
  4. Infrastructure concepts such as the Cloud Hyperscalers fundamentals of IaaS, PaaS, Networking, Security, Encryption, Identity and Access Management, and Disaster Recovery Planning
  5. Data Engineering concepts and frameworks such as batch processing, stream processing, replication, SQL, DBT, Talend, Informatica, Python, Snowpark, PySpark, DataFrames, storage formats Parquet, Avro, Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Orchestration, and DevOps
  6. Business Intelligence and analytics solutions such as Tableau, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Thoughtspot, SAS, Streamlit, and techniques such as time series analysis, Advanced SQL, and statistical analysis (linear regression, variance analysis, modeling, and forecasting)
  7. AI/ML fundamental understanding of key concepts such as classification, regression, clustering, dimensionality reduction, Natural Language Processing, and Language Models

Our ideal candidate helps bring structure and clarity in complex and continuously evolving environments and must have a strong ability in leading engagements with internal and external stakeholders at different levels of the organization (Development teams to Leadership).

A strong industry experience in the Financial services, Retail, or the Healthcare & Life Sciences will be an advantage.
