Then its time to join Western Union as an AML / Compliance Officer.Work Mode: Hybrid mode (minimum of three days a week in the office)Western Union powers your pursuit.As an AML Compliance Officer, you will support Western Union Agents'' efforts in implementing Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorist Financing, and Anti-Fraud policies and procedures. Your role includes evaluating how Agents incorporate compliance requirements through activity analysis, reviews, and training, and ensuring compliance gaps are addressed.Main ResponsibilitiesMaintain effective oversight of AML activities via the Central Contact Point (CCP) by executing second-level controls.Develop and implement annual control monitoring and testing plans.Manage subpoenas from Italian Law Enforcement Authorities and liaise with authorities to support audit activities.Provide AML/CTF and anti-fraud compliance training to Western Union Agents.Evaluate controls internally and with agents, supporting AML compliance programs.Escalate AML risk matters promptly and support global AML projects.Research and analyze complex issues related to money laundering risks and financial crimes.Review and ensure consistency of policies and procedures with AML compliance and legal requirements.Explain AML/Compliance topics to third parties and assess compliance reports.Minimum RequirementsBachelors degreeNative Italian speaker with fluency in English (oral and written)Over 5 years of AML Compliance experience, especially in financial/banking or consultancy sectorsKnowledge of AML/CTF laws and regulations (e.g., Leg. Dec. 231/2007, Bank of Italy provisions) and MSB requirementsStrong understanding of AML risk assessment, compliance risks, and escalation proceduresExcellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsProficient in common office softwareWe make financial services accessible to humans everywhere.
