Description
The resource will be part of the Digitalization and System Design integration department which operates, as part of Tecnimonts Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecommunication Engineering cluster, in the digital transformation environment enhancing our clients plant operation and maintenance both during the preparation of the proposals and the execution of the projects. The said activities include designing, developing and deploying integrated digital solutions to support and optimize the operation and maintenance activities of the industrial plants realized for Maires clients. The department gives its main contribution to the integrated Engineering and Construction Solutions (i.e. EPC) division of Maire Group and supports also the Sustainable Technology Solutions (i.e. Licensing) division.
He/She will support the activities pertaining to the Digitalization and System Design Integration discipline within a project or multiple projects providing its competence and experience with IT and OT Systems in the land of Digital solutions for Plant operation and Maintenance, contributing to the selection of the best technology for each initiative, participating to the design, testing and deployment activities from home office as well as at Suppliers premises and Plant sites. The Digital solutions shall be designed and integrated within the OT Plant environment (Process control and Safety System and Telecom infrastructure) as well as the overall IT/OT architecture. The Resource will contribute to manage the interfaces among all involved disciplines as well as Clients or Vendors.
Key Activities Responsibilities
- to contribute to the design and development of the new digital solutions for operation and maintenance applied to the assigned projects in coordination with technology and business owners;
- to contribute to the design of the integrated IT/OT architecture of the plant in order guarantee the designed digital solution to be fully integrated in the plant environment such as Process Automation System as well as IT Systems/infrastructure;
- to collaborate with the Project Team and the Head of Department for the preparation of the execution strategy of the project and contribute to its application throughout the entire project life;
- for all assigned digitalization solution, to collaborate with all involved stakeholders to collect and formalize the functional requirements as well as to investigate and select the best technological solutions;
- to facilitate and contribute to the integration of OT and IT digital systems/solutions with the design of system architecture, cybersecurity, data flow, with the aim to implement of brand-new solutions on industrial plants;
- to contribute to the activities of the discipline and interface with all other involved disciplines regardless the location and distribution of the engineering centers guaranteeing the consistency of the documents with the contract, the respect of the time schedule, the implementation of the contract requirements and the quality of the deliverables;
- to interact with Client representatives, Vendors or other stakeholders for all the technical topics impacting on the project both in scope, time and costs.
- to be always up-to-date about the technical specific improvement of digitalization solutions and in general the disciplines of competence and to be ready to apply the most appropriate solutions to the assigned initiative or project.
Personal Attributes:
- degree in technical discipline;
- at least 5 years of experience as specialized technician in IT or OT of industrial plants/complex;
- skills in Process Control System and IT/OT Integrated System architecture
- Excellent communication and leadership attitudes;
- fluent English speaker and writer;
- availability to travel for short or long period in Italy and abroad;
- willingness to enhance his/her technology knowledge and contribute to the development of brand new technological solutions.
