A unique new hospitality venue in Amsterdam is seeking an Executive Sous Chef / Sous Chef with a passion for culinary excellence, guest experience, and sustainability.
This exciting new opening have a strong focus on seasonal ingredients and eco-conscious practices. The role is ideal for a creative and hands-on professional who enjoys developing innovative menus, leading a dynamic kitchen team, and delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth collaboration and efficiency.
- Develop a sustainable, seasonal menu, including snacks and specialty dishes.
- Work actively in the kitchen, overseeing food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Maintain high operational standards, ensuring a well-organized and efficient kitchen.
- Manage procurement, stock control, and cost-conscious purchasing.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and food quality regulations.
- Oversee kitchen administration, including inventory tracking and cost management.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques and presentation.
- Support operational activities during renovation periods as needed.

Who Should Apply?
- At least five years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch cuisine
- Creative, innovative, and passionate about gastronomy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A guest-focused and customer-oriented mindset.
- Experience with kitchen administration and food safety regulations.
- Flexible and able to perform under pressure.
- Proficiency in Dutch is must
